Swarms of biting ladybugs invade Montreal-area homes | The Naturist Page

asian-lady-beetle[1]The unseasonably warm weather in Montreal this week has brought with it blue skies — as well as swarms of biting, invasive ladybugs. Yes Biting ladybugs. With the current warm weather we have been unusually getting here in Montreal, this past 4 days have been an issue with Naturists and non-Naturists alike.

Your use to seeing these ladybugs all the time but within the swarm of these ladybugs is a different breed of ladybug. Typically here in Canada we’re use to seeing the red back ladybug with spots. These ones do not bite. The different breed i’m talking about is called the Asian yellow-back ladybug. they have a yellowish orange back and with spots too. These are the pests that do bite. The bite is not a bad one, but they are annoying.
