Nudist Compass has announced today they are working on updating the android application which allows the users to locate the nearest beaches, resorts as well as other Naturist/Nudist venues all over the world closest to you. Since it’s launch in 2013 the app has been downloaded tens of thousands of times.
With the ability to add your own spots and being able to rate and check in to places, I give this app something worth checking out.
However in order for them to make Nudist Compass 2 possible, they are asking for help by donating what you wish to help make it possible.
Here’s what to expect in Nudist Compass 2:
Nudist Compass 2 is on the way
- It will be multi-platform. No longer only for Android, there are iOS and Windows versions being programmed too.
- It will be multi-lingual. No longer only in English, we want to have it in German (as it is most popular amongst German users), Spanish, Italian and other languages too.
- It will be more accurate. Our users are very active in informing about nudist locations and creating new places. Most of them are truly important sources of information; however there are occasions when someone creates a place just for fun or by mistake and its relation to nudism is more than questionable :). Comments and ratings are the first form of dealing with misleading data but sometimes this is not sufficient and other mechanisms like “Report” button and/or manual check will be more effective. Nudist Compass 2 will have improved verification system.
- It will have completely rewritten messaging system (chat). More reliable, faster and based on push notifications.
- It will have better users :). Absolute majority of our users are heartsome and nice. They comment and rate places, chat with others, create and update information about nudist locations with ingenious and clean objective, just to help others, just to share the information and better the general knowledge. They want to be useful to everyone, ask nothing in return and we are so thankful to them. However, as in any community, there are rare cases, where some individuals do not follow this path and their intentions are less generous. Nudist Compass cannot tolerate any inappropriate behavior and version 2 will have more effective mechanisms for excluding it.
I posted this as a Facebook status and believe it should now be considered a blog. I feel that it does deserve to be posted on my blogs because it is straight up truth of what I believe in and should be ‘upgraded’ as a such.
The original poll was do you hate clothes or winter more and I think despite the votes this really is truly a difficult poll. yet everyone tends to lean more to the aspect of living a life without the pressure of having to be a sheep of society or having a leash around their necks to follow the governmental heard to be forced to live a life where you have to be shameful of not only your body but to be shameful of it in general. I think this goes for everyone when I say it’s not the human body that is generalized that people are offended by but the media, news, government and religion that want to stereotype to forcibly choose your path to make you believe that you must follow their influence despite how natural it is to be ones self. It’s completely normal to be yourself and nobody should tell you how to live your natural way of life. it has been happening for countless generations beyond count. There is nothing wrong with being naturally nude unless your a preditor of nature.
#TBT It’s throwback Thursday! “It is difficult to nominate exactly when naturism started as a movement. The word ‘naturism’ was used for the first time in 1778 by a French-speaking Belgian, Jean Baptiste Luc Planchon (1734–1781), and was advocated as a means of improving the ‘l’hygiène de vie’ (natural style of life) and health.”
As we near close to the near of summer, many of us are itching to get the chance to get that dose of vitamin D when ever possible! I for one hand always look forward to this time of year and try to get as much time in the sun as possible. For me, the energy and the radiance of the sun revives me and since we had such a long, cold and harsh winter any sun and warm weather i’m so out there to get as much sun as possible. I don’t know about you but the sun truly energizes me and revitalizes me… the dread of winter… well… let me tell you that to a naturist, winter is the longest and coldest time of year (Especially if your like me from Eastern Canada) is at times … the coldest and longest time of year that like this year we had a lowest low of -49c… to see no wind, no clouds and pure sun at 12°c… you can feel the sun cooking you still! In just 2 hours without sunscreen in 12°c I did feel a burn after 2 hours… on day two i needed aloe moisturizer because the itch was getting out of hand… thats a sign for sunscreen. the UV was 5 or 6. Be careful when you live in the north and get sun. Even if its 12°c the UV when its 6+ can burn you still. Use sunscreen even if its coldish out. You can still burn. Tan right and you will not burn by the middle of summer. Have a safe summer and please enjoy your summer! =)
Woke this morning was trying to decide if I should go to the river until when I checked noticed the forecast was going to be 13°c … I told myself it could not possibly be nice enough for getting that all over tan started. Then I noticed the wind speed and found that It was going to be less than 10kph and no clouds! I said to myself, what the heck… It also gave me a reason to go on a long bike ride. If worse came to worse I was doing it for the ride at least.
Left the house around 10:30am with my shoes, jeans, sweater and vest on; it was pretty chilly out. along the way to the river which was 25km away I spotted some angry Canadian geese attacking for either territory or for a mate. They are vicious this time of year. I also spotted in Lasalle, a sugar shack buggy pulled by a horse with kids in the buggy. At this time I checked Facebook because I invited my friend Happy Bare and wanted to see if he was planning on meeting me there. He said he would go tomorrow when it was warmer.
When I arrived at the river, I was surprised to see the water level was remarkably lower than normal. Last year you could not walk down by the river because the water was very high. So trekking along in a mix of beach rocks, snow and Ice to the spot I usually go was very easy. Happy Bare wanted to know the water level so I gave him a call to let him know; little did I know he must have changed his mind because before I knew it, He said he was getting some things together and coming to the river and he’d be 20min! Ha! I knew he’d change his mind! Before he arrived I did test the theory of whether or not it was nice out enough to disrobe and take some sun. The breeze was a little cold when I tried… but then I thought to myself — Their are a lot of large rocks around here to try and attempt to hide from the chilly breeze. The Sun was very warm on the skin and the ground to the feet was very warm as well. It was just the breeze that was the issue. Sure enough it was the perfect idea to be next to a rock when it was after all, 12°c at the time.
Alex finally arrived and enjoyed two to two and a half hours of sun. Within the time we spent in the sun we took some photos braving the elements and standing in the snow, I layed in the snow for another photo and I even took a dip to my waste in 2°c icy river water! BURRRR! I cant speak for everyone here in Canada but I just can not pass up a challenge and thats why I did it. lol
Driving home was hard on my legs because they were already sore from the past rides I was doing before the total trip there and back was 50km. The workout was so worth it with the bonus that I was actually able to share some good time in the sun with a great friend!
It’s coming! Yes, Spring! It’s going to finally going to be Spring like temperatures as early as Friday and this time it looks like it’s going to be here to stay this time. If you garden, it will be the perfect opportunity to get your garden prepped for seeding. However, depending where your from, I’d double check your local weather to make sure it’s the last frost before seeding. I’m going to wait a few days after I prepare my garden before I seed just to make sure.
During the week it might still be a little cool to start on that tan. However, if you can find a nice sunny spot with no wind you could get away with it easily! Double check the UV factor to see if it’s 6 or more to decide if your gonna need sun screen. Since it’s early in the season you don’t want to burn. Have a great weekend, from us here in Canada!
