I hate to be a bearer of bad news. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, Southern Quebec is expected to be a cold and very snowy winter. Today we hit 31°c in October the 18th — enjoy it now! Temperatures will fall to 1°c by Sunday. They are predicting our first snowstorm by around November 20th-24th.
Moreover, the forecast for 2017 so far is as such via The Old Farmer’s Almanac:
Winter will be milder than normal, with above-normal precipitation and snowfall. The coldest periods will be in mid- to late December and early to mid-January, from late January into early February, and in mid- and late February. The snowiest periods will be in mid- to late November, early December, late January, and early to mid- and late February.
April and May will be dryer than normal, with near-normal temperatures.
Summer will be rainier than normal, with near- to below-normal temperatures. The hottest periods will be in early and mid-July and in mid- to late August.
September and October will be slightly cooler than normal, with near-normal precipitation.
